Son Volt – Sat., May 13th, Fox Theater, Boulder, CO

I’ve loved Jay Farrar’s music since I was introduced to Uncle Tupelo in the early ’90’s.  I’ve followed his Son Volt career as much as any other band.  He’s also one of my favorite song writers to play on my Taylor 420, my voice is kind of in the same key.

Seeing Son Volt at the Fox in Boulder is a real treat.  Small venue, great location (Boulder) and great acoustics.  Here a variety of songs recorded on my iPhone from the show, enjoy!

New Music from Alex Ebert

Check out Alex Ebert’s new song “Broken Record” it’s groovy…

Remember the band Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros?  That’s Alex Ebert’s alter ego (so to speak).  I didn’t really listen to Edward Sharpe…  until I watched the music documentary, “Big Easy Express”.  Nor did I know they were considered “indie folk heroes” 🙂

Check out the movie Big Easy Express ; excerpt from the web page… ” Indie folk heroes Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Tennessee’s Old Crow Medicine Show, and Britain’s acclaimed Mumford & Sons, climbed aboard a beautiful vintage train in California, setting out for New Orleans, Louisiana on a “tour of dreams”. The resulting film from this journey is nothing short of magical.”
